Daisaku Ikeda

President Ikeda continues his writings on the history and events of the Soka Gakkai. This volume of the ongoing series of the New Human Revolution looks at events that occurred in the mid-1970s, including the founding of a new Soka Kindergarten and the Division of Correspondence Education at Soka University, as well as many heart-warming stories of correspondence students from all walks of life.

Daisaku Ikeda

Continuing the story of Shin’ichi Yamamoto’s single-minded determination and ceaseless efforts to build Soka Gakkai into an organization of hope and peace that encompasses every strata and section of Japanese society, this volume has a lot to offer readers:

Shin’ichi’s tender memories of his mother Sachi and his tribute to all mothers “who give their love unstintingly to their children … [and are] the very embodiment of peace”.

Daisaku Ikeda

This volume continues the exceptional saga of Shin’ichi Yamamoto, telling of how painstakingly the Soka Gakkai was built into a ‘bastion of capable people’ by raising committed and youthful successors to take the mission of kosen-rufu forwards.

Daisaku Ikeda

This volume continues the chronicling of the development of the Soka Gakkai during 1977, when Shin’ichi Yamamoto (Daisaku Ikeda’s pen name), in the true spirit of the mentor-disciple relationship, revisits Atsuta village, President Toda’s hometown, to inject fresh vigour in the members. Ushering in the second phase of kosen-rufu, this volume depicts the importance of the chapter as the key unit in the organisation, and the fostering of capable leaders to carry on the momentum of kosen-rufu. It is replete with the timeless guidance Shin’ichi to encourage all members, particularly the “uncrowned champions” — the dedicated deliverers of the Seikyo Shimbun.

Daisaku Ikeda

Of all his brothers, Shin’Ichi had admired his eldest brother Kikuo the most. He had many memories of the times they had spent together. There was one memory he especially cherished, which involved a broken mirror. When Shin’Ichi was still a young boy, the mirror, part of their mother’s trousseau, had been broken by accident. From among the fragments, Shin’Ichi and Kikuo each kept a palm-sized piece, which became a personal treasure for both of them.

Daisaku Ikeda

Part 1 of the concluding volume to SGI President Daisaku Ikeda’s 30-volume series tracks the progress of the organisation from 1979 to 1981 — Shin’ichi’s long-contemplated desire to hand over the reins of the Soka Gakkai to his successors, his dialogues for peace with world leaders and thinkers, and his counteroffensive against the actions of the priesthood and their associates.

Ringing with his spirit of “Lions stand up! The time has come to fight!”, this shared journey of mentor and members to forge new paths in the saga of kosen-rufu continues with one man’s never-be-defeated resolve to ensure world peace, no matter what.

The chapters in this book are: Great Mountain, Awaiting the Time, Launching Out, and Bells of Dawn (in part).
